If you want to make it region free or change the region the code is 9 8 7 9 then put the number of the region in straight after, but 0 is the one I put in so eg. 9 8 7 9 0. A blue rectangle should come in the right top corner saying the region you changed it to. (0 is region free). Eject Disc first if you have a disc in, or this will not work...

This message implies that the DVD you're trying to play is the "wrong" region. Many DVD players do have options to make them region free; try searching for the make and model of your DVD player together with "region free", and you should be able to find instructions about making your player region free.
