I Don't Know Of A Way To Do This Through Symantec Ghost, But I Do Know Of this Program Called BartPE (Bart Pre-installed Environment) Which Can Be Found Here: nu2.nu/pebuilder/
It Will Ask You To Search For Windows Installation Files And You Have The Choice Of Doing This.
If You Record An ISO Of Your Current XP You Could Use That As The Installation Files Directory.
You Would Need A Program Like MagicDisc (Freeware) To Mount It.
You can use UltraIso to make bootable CDs.

To create a bootable USB drive using the "CD F" command, you can use a tool like Rufus or Win32 Disk Imager. These tools allow you to select the ISO file of the operating system you want to install on the USB drive and then write it to the drive using the "CD F" command. This process will make the USB drive bootable and ready for installation.
The ghost of an idea came to him. The ghost floated through the passage.

i have downloaded ghost 14 from net about 187mb then i made bootable CD from it. but i am not able to make an image frome it i don't think it can. also it doesnt supports .gho format(ghost 2003). Note: Ghost 14 removed support for the .gho image format (used by previous versions of ghost) and removed the ability to create an image file using just a boot CD. With ghost 14 you can only create an image file of a windows PC on which you have already installed ghost and on which windows starts up and you can then run Ghost 14. Hence if your PC will no longer bootup or you can't run ghost from within windows for any reason you CAN NOT create an image file. Ghost 2003 was the last version that supported that functionality. This is very sad because it was that capability that made ghost such a popular product, and enabled you to easily save and then access your data from a corrupted windows PC. Acronis True Image however has that capability!
After you make the floppy disc a boot drive (beforehand), you can use it to boot your system when you are unable to boot using your harddrive.
It depends on which operating system you want to boot on your flash drive. I have been using an application called Bootsage to create a Windows 7 installer flash drive or a WinPE bootable environment, and it seems to work very well. It runs under Windows XP as well as Windows 7. http://firesage.com/bootsage Here is a utility which make bootable pendrive in few very simple steps... http://techwek.com/2011/09/22/download-free-software-iso-to-usb-to-make-bootable-pen-drive-in-windows-7-vista-xp/
