Do you have an electronics store nearby? Call them and say, "Hello, I would like to purchase a computer monitor extension cable."
Make sure your VGA cable is completely connected. Make sure it is pushed and screwed in tight (not too tight).
DVI is the digital display standard for computer displays, so it is indeed a monitor cable. DVI provides similar resolutions to analog VGA cables when running LCD panels at their native resolution and normally avoid timing errors that can reduce the clarity of VGA signals in some cases. DVI can also support analog VGA signals on the same cable so before changing to a DVI cable make sure your monitor and computer both support DVI digital.
Before you start looking for a computer to tv cable, make sure your computer has some sort of out on it, that way you'll know which one to get. It's likely that the computer to tv cable you'll need is a monitor cable that has AV attachments on the other end. You can find one at any local computer store or even on Amazon.
err... check the screen cable between the PC and the monitor and make sure it's plugged in properly. with the thumb screws (if present) tightened!
Make sure the monitor eletrical cable is plugged in. Make sure the monitor is turned on. Make sure the monitor cable is plugged into the video port at the back of the PC and the connector on the rear of the monitor.
There could be several reasons, here are a few: The monitor is broken or faulty The cord from the monitor to the tower is faulty, or not properly connected The power cord for the monitor is faulty, or not properly plugged in The device driver might not be functioning properly If the videocard is new and an integrated one was previously used, the previous one must be disabled through device manager. **You can use Safe Mode with the monitor to see if the second 2 are the issue
Most recent LCD TV's can also be used as a computer monitor. You want to make sure that both your computer and your LCD TV have the same type of connection port. Look for either an S-video or an HDMI port and then go buy the appropriate cable, and you're set.
Perhaps a cable is loose. Make sure it is screwed in properly, and make sure the video card is not tilting, if it is, make it straight, otherwise the monitor cable cannot correctly fit into the socket.
So far, I have only ever found a wired extension. USB 2, Active.
Your computer can be connected to your television in a variety of ways. Composite video cables can be used as well as the "S" video cable. The newer models use the DVI port. All three cable options connect from your computer to your television. You then must make sure your computer is set to external monitor and your television is set to the proper a/v channel.
This generally means that the monitor section of the unit is not receiving a video signal - make sure the jumper between the two video plugs in place. On mine unfortunately it was a dead motherboard for the computer. The monitor section was working fine - just no signal from the motherboard.
LG makes a good computer monitor with 3D capabilities. Sony has a 24 inch T.V. available which you can make into a computer monitor.
