1. First you need to have a small amount of saliva in the front of your mouth
(amount may vary)
2. then you need to pucker your lips as if to do that "mucus drop and suck back up" thing
3. now you need to whistle inward until you can hear the air bubbling through the saliva.
4. after some practice on lip and mouth set-up you should be able to do this in a bout a week or two with steady practice
It took me 2 weeks to learn initially, and after a couple years later i can do multiple crickets.

PS: This is best when done on command, such as in movie theaters in dark or quiet parts and after someone tells a crappy joke.
