Open Disk Utility (type it in spotlight, or find it under applications/utilities Select your drive from the left hand column. On the right hand part, select the "Partition" tab. Options to partition are found there. Usually you cannot partition a boot drive, and beware that you may lose all data when partitioning. There may be third party software available that can partition boot drives and also keep your data semi-safe (there is always the risk of data loss, backup first).

If you install Windows 7 on mac with bootcamp can you transfer your mac files to windows if so how?

Yes you can. I am currently using a 2010 iMac, and on my bootcamp partition I have windows 7. When you are logged in the mac partition you can see the bootcamp partition and copy and paste files. I m not sure if you need to install NTFS-3G on mac. Anyway it's free and I suggest you to install it. From windows 7 you should see your machintosh hard drive ( mine is called machintosh) from there you browse usr/username/ ... there you'll find all your folders ) ;)
