Better graphics, New things to customise, Which is pretty much everything from who your character is, to what they look like and what the things in there homes look like. Oh and wondering around a bit. If you allready have the sims 2, I'd advise against getting the sims 3. You can get so many expansions in the sims 2 that allow you to do so much more than in the sims 3. And anyway, now that the sims 3 is out, they're going to be price cut on sites like amazon or in stores anyway.
