How do you stack shelves if the bottom of your locker is slanted?
Make a shelf for the bottom at the same slant as the locker. make sure that when you set it inside it will be a few inches higher than the slanted part is so that you can still use that space underneath. build it with a material of your choice. Wood works best, but you can get a wire locker shelf and cut the sides to the right slant. (1.) measure the depth of the inside of your locker and the width. (most lockers have a lip on the edges at the front and you have to be able to get the shelf inside. (2.) cut 2 sides the 1/2" less than the depth of the locker, then measure the slant angle. make sure the sides are a few inches higher than the slanted part. make the top of the shelf by cutting it to the 1/2" less than the width of the inside of the locker and 1/4" less than the depth. Set it up: Set the sides inside the locker. push them up against the sides of the locker and to the back. Then set the shelf part on top by sliding it in diagonally and then setting it down and pushing it against the back of the locker. There should be an opening where you can put shoes or a sweater underneath the shelf. If there isn't you made the sides too short and you'll have to start again. the sides need to be shaped like a right triangle on the bottom and a rectangle on top put together. it goes straight up from the slanted part, so that the door can still close. Decorating ideas: you could paint it or glue on wrapping paper or even make it all glittery-sicky-girly looking you could glue tinfoil or lace or anything you want on it!

First make sure that when you are going into the school year, your locker is clean. Obviously. Next find a basket that will fit in the bottom of your locker. Use this for gym uniforms and shoes. Using a collapsible shelf on top of this is a good place to keep binders and books. hang your backpack (if necessary) on the hooks, along with your coat, etc. On the top shelf keep beauty supplies like hair brushes, lip gloss, etc. I keep mine in a plastic train case. It has layers and is perfect fit. For your door it is a good idea to get a magnetic mirror or storage compartment or both. make sure the magnet is strong! keep spare pencils, index cards, etc there. Now to keep it clean make sure that you don't have unnecessary things in your locker like old tests, moldy lunches and the like. On fridays double check to make you don't have any of this stuff in your locker. Its a good idea to put an air freshener in your locker. if those aren't allowed put a box of baking soda in it. Its cheap, scentless and keeps your locker scentless. The Friday clean in the most important part of this whole paragraph. This is a surefire way to make the end of the year easier.
