To get a sim on the exchange, you first must be in create-a-sim (either when you are making the sim or go to a mirror and choose "change appearance"). Next to the thumbnail of your sim at the bottom of the screen there will be a button with "..." on it. Click that, and then click on the up arrow. Then, open your launcher, go to uploads, and upload your sim.

Then simply click the next arrow and find the sim(s) you've downloaded. Then click on the sim. The random sim should disappear and show the downloaded sim. If you don't find the sim you want in the folder, make sure your random sim is the same gender as the downloaded one. I'm pretty sure that the folder icon is six little people.

I always doanload my sims from the sims 2.com. Here's a link to the sim listing. http://thesims2.ea.com/exchange/search.php?asset_type=sim&pid=Exchange_sims After you download a sim, the loading box will come up. click save, and than put that sim in a folder. (I created a special folder named sim 2 downloads.) Click save. There will be a button that says close this dialog box when download ends. Make sure there is NO check mark. After the download finishes, it will say download complete. Click open. Click install, ok. Finished! It sounds like a lot of steps, but it's realy easy. You don't need WinRar to have the sims.
