First, you need some raw fish (from fishing) and an ocelot.

Ocelots are shy, so don't chase one or it'll just run away. If you stand still, about 10-20 metres from one, and look at it, it might turn around and come toward you. Right-click on it with the fish selected, when it comes within range. You might need to click more than once.

first, make a fishing rod out of the crafting table out of sticks (2 wooden planks) and string (killing a spider at night or finding cobwebs). then go fishing in the water. cast the line and wait for a fish to come out. then hold the raw fish in your hands in front of an ocelot. dont run after it like you feed a dog a bone because it will run away. instead wait and the ocelot will slowly walk towards you. if it leaves, walk slowly towads it and wait until it walks towards you. then when its close by, feed it. sometimes you will need more than one fish to tame it so catch at least 3 (a tip) when you succesfully tamed it , it will no longer look like a jaguar (spotted). it will either look black and white or completely orange and it will sit down. hope i helped.
