Yes. WolfQuest 2 is known as "WolfQuest 2.5", or "WolfQuest: Survival of the Pack Deluxe". The latest version is version 2.5.1; this version fixes some bugs from 2.5.
In WolfQuest, to make your pack bigger, you need to find a mate and successfully raise pups. As your pups grow up and become dispersal wolves, they may return to join your pack if you have an available territory slot. You can have up to 5 wolf pack members in the game.
Even though there are signs of other packs in WolfQuest. There is no 'wolf pack'. The only wolves you are able to run into are stranger wolves, dispersal wolves, and on the final mission (if you enter another pack territory) a wolf will appear and chase you out.
WolfQuest 2.5: Survival of the Pack Deluxe (version 2.5.1 which includes a bug patch) was released on October 11th, 2011.
