Oh there are a ton of ways! Here are a few:

Snowman: Put a thin layer of white frosting over the top of the cupcake. take black frosting and pipe 2 eyes and the mouth using several small black dots. Take some sort of orange gummy and cut it to look like a carrot nose. Then over the top pipe a red lune of frosting in an arch and put 2 life saver gummies at the ends to look like ear muffs. this is great for kids!

Christmas Tree: take a piping bag and pipe green frosting, going up in circles

like a cone. The sprinkle some colorful sprinkles on top to look like ornaments, and put a candy star on top! If you don't want to use a star, you can use a yellow skittle or something.

Reindeer/Rudolph: Spread brown frosting on top, then stick on a nilla wafer for the little snout. Put some frosting on one side of a red m&m and stick it on the wafer. Use brown m&ms for the eyes, and break pretzels too look like antlers and stick them in the cupcake.

Santa Hat: Take red frosting and pipe up like a cone, then pipe a little bit of white frosting on top and around the bottom.

Peppermint Candy: Take red and white frosting and alternate them doing stripes that go from the center out.
