There are a few basic "rules" to making Dubstep. I'm new at it and therefore by no means an expert.
First, tempo. Dubstep is largely played in 4/4 at 140 BPM, usually emphasis on the first beat and a snare hit on the third, giving the feel of a slow 70 BPM beat. A lot of dubstep has a swing to the rhythm.
Second, bass. Most of the true rhythmic qualities come from that big "wobble" bass sound. The "wobble" is usually achieved by using a lowpass filter on the bass. Try using an LFO to control the cutoff and another LFO to adjust the speed of the first LFO. This method isn't perfect, intricate programming of the cutoff filter is a lot better sounding, but it's definitely a place to get started. Often times the bass is layered, try creating two identical bass sounds with the same lowpass automation and notes and then tweak the harmonic frequencies and resonance of the second synth. Also, keep away from the low-low range with your cutoff or use another bass playing the same notes to keep the bass sounding beefy.
There's a lot more I could say, but I think this is a good a starting point as any. Good luck and have fun steppin'.
Any software, really. Just gotta' know what you're doing with the lowpass filter for the wobble. I usually use Fruity Loop's 3xOsc. It's very simple and it forces me to get creative with it to make it sound unique.
Dancing to Dubsteb is easier than what most expect but harder to master then what people expect. There is no dubstep style, there is animation, liquid, robotics, electric (just heard of electric), popping and a few others. You should choose one to start and move on to another after you have it down or mastered it. Dancing to dubstep is mostly feeling the bass and beat and flowing with it (sometimes literally.) I would not say im a master but i can dance to dubstep without looking like an idiot, and im only 15. I suggest looking at slides and glides since for me the footwork is way harder than upper body work, since upper body comes back to alot of popping and waving.
To start for foot work i went to YouTube and watched and practiced "Sliding and Gliding Tutorial. I cant promise you that you wont get upset on a super cool move when you mess up but once you get it, dancing to dubstep becomes hystericaly fun.
Dub Step is weird music. So say is your at a party and a little bit of dead mouse is on.. start dancing to the beat then it will go faster, you go faster! Easy as pie! Make sure your doing hip-hop, not a lyrical jazz rotion
It was created with a mixture of bass lines, electronic noises, and ocassional lyrics.
Go to YouTube and type in garageband bass wobble .
That simple.
Buy Magix Music Maker, but download the Dubstep pack that they advertise on a site called Catooh. It's fairly easy to use and is good quality.

Tristam uses FL Studio 10. It's not just for making dubstep.

To make a Dubstep bassline you need music software that allows you to make complex LFO (Low Frequency Oscillator) modulations, because LFOs are an important part of Dubstep Baselines. Most music software, however, doesn't let you create complex LFO waveforms. Evolvor, sound design application created by Percussa, can be used together with Ableton Live to draw your own LFO waveforms, and use this to control the parameters in your midi mapping. Check out the link below to read the blog post that describes step by step how to create a Dubstep Bassline with Evolvor and Ableton Live.

If you're looking for a cheap and easy to use software, I suggest you to use Dub Turbo. Unlike other beat makers, dub turbo is easy to use, cheaper and more simple. You can use it to make your own beats, remixes, techno and trance music, dubstep and other kinds of electronic music. The good thing about it is that tutorials and training videos will be provided to get you started. It will help you a lot especially if you're a starter.
Dubstep samples are used in the audio production process when creating Dubstep. You can use any samples, from any genre to create Dubstep. Some of the biggest Dubstep producers record live drumsets. You can hear this in tracks by Noisia and Chase & Status. Check the related link I have added for tutorials and discussion on producing Dubstep.
Dubstep is its own genre of music, so yes, it is apart from techno. The confusion might arise from the use of some of the same instruments such as the synthesizer and keyboard, but beyond that, they have no connection.
I don't know. You tell me now go to hell ya little f***er

You use spreadsheet software to create spreadsheets.
Many reasons. Most importantly he would use software apps to analyze the requirements of a project, to organize files that are required to create or describe the project and eventually a programming tool such as Visual Studio to create the software needed.Computer are unique in that they use software to create more software. Ever try making a car with another car?

Anyone know of a easy use software to create simulation?
