Glyphs can be made if you have the Inscription profession. To make glyphs you will need to either buy herbs off of the AH or have the herbalism profession (Allows you to pick you own herbs).
Once you have the profession, you open up the Inscription UI and click what you want to make. If you have the materials, then the UI will make it and place it in your bags.
Once you reach level 25, you can start using glyphs. You can purchase these from someone with the inscription profession either directly or through the auction house.
