How do you make holes in your jeans?

A good sharp pair of scissors or box cutter knife. (do not do this while wearing the jeans)

Holes should not be right at the knee's. Approximately 2 inches below is standard for the "Hippie Look". Cheek peeks, or butt teasers are holes cut just under the pockets at the back of the jeans, they are just several (5 or 6) horizontal lines cut close together. They will open and shred after a few washes. Holes anywhere else are just called ruined jeans so don't go overboard. You are making a 60's fashion statement not work for jean makers since you will have to buy new one's sooner.

first you fit your jeans and decide up to what length you want your jeans to be. then make a line there....then make another line a few inches under it..... then cut with sharp scissors along the second line you made......then fold inwards so that your pants reach the first line you made.......then sow along the bottom of the fold and the top of the fold twice, with a color not so noticeable :)

When I cut my jeans into shorts I use scissors and then to avoid fraying at the bottom fold them up. But you could hem them by sewing it
