How do you make IC?

To make icing or frosting: * put powdered or icing sugar into a bowl,

* add sufficient milk to make a soft paste, or water and a teaspoon of butter

* add a drop or two of food colouring if wanted. * stir

Take a quantity of water and lower its temperature until it is below the freezing point of water.

If you put water into a freezer, it will make ice. You can even use "ice cube trays" for this purpose. Let them sit in the freezer anywhere from an hour and a half to six hours, depending on the ability of the freezer, and how full it is.

You can place a pan of water outdoors in the winter if the weather is cold enough.

Some refrigerator/freezers also include a built in Ice Maker. This might be perfect for you.

There are many, many recipes out there for cake icing, but here is a very simple recipe:

1 cup softened butter (room temperature is fine)
3 ½ cups powdered sugar
1 tablespoon hot water
1 tsp vanilla extract

Beat the butter until it is soft and fluffy. Add sugar, water and vanilla extract. Beat until well blended.
