These knitting needles are sort of small, but they work great if you file/sand them so they are smooth.
NEEDED:
2 skewers, any size you want
nail file or sand paper
scissors
bead or clay (optional)
Hot Glue (optional, for the bead)
MAKE:
Cut the tip off the pointy part off the skewer. Use your nail file or sand paper to file it down until the point is round and "soft". Now file the stick part of the skewer so it is smooth and does not have little bits of wood attached. Repeat for the second needle.
OPTIONAL 1:
Make a shape out of clay and put it on the end of your needle. Let harden. Repeat on second needle.
OPTIONAL 2:
Put a bead on the end of your needle so the bead is only halfway on the needle. Hold the bead in place and put hot glue in through the top of the hole in the bead. Repeat on second needle.
Any store should have knitting needles.

knitting needles
Knitting is a method of making fabrics from yarns. They can be shaped as they are made. Knitting is a common method of making sweaters, hats, socks, blankets, scarves, and gloves. It is possible to make smoother fabrics with knitting than it is with crocheting.
Practically, a loom is used for weaving. Knitting is accomplished on a knitting machine or completed by hand using knitting needles.
