My favourite way is to collect gems on the sand on beaches and sell them at rock isle, or make necklace's .
You can also find diamonds on desert isle and sell them for 4k at the rock shop, or 12k as a necklace at the rock shop (on ROCK ISLE- talk to Mr. Tuttle in Shellton who will send you to Lilac on flower isle who will send you to rock isle. You need to find Bailey first- she's a wanderer, mapping her first helps)
Or if you can't find diamonds, wander the desert and find loads of scorpion's, go to the last sand isle and talk to the guy in the shack who will send you to Dust isle. Talk to the spider in the cows head who will in trade for 25 scorpions, give you 1 diamond. (while searching for scorpions, you'll probably come across diamonds as well!)
Once you've made a decent amount of money, you can earn heaps of interest.
