Did you look like that when you made him? You could have made him that way on the opening character creation screen, in which case his eyes would be like that permanently. What are you playing it on? If you didn't make him like that from the onset of your game it could be a glitch, where if you just slept you character got stuck like that. First try just restarting your game and reloading it, and if that doesn't work you might have to 1) wait for an update or 2) look for a glitchfix if you're using computer to play.
