You need approximately 150 grams of cooked (i.e finished) pasta salad per person, depending upon what else they will be eating. (If they're not eating anything else, probably closer to 175-250 grams of finished pasta salad per person). Dried pasta tends to weigh 2.5-3 times it's initial weight when it's cooked. This means that you need around 23-30 kg of uncooked pasta total, depending on how much of the pasta salad will be veg and sauce, how hungry you're expecting people to be, how much other food they're being fed etc... Good luck.
I would start with about 5 pound raw rotini. After cooking and cooling I add about 5 pound total of chopped onion, red and green pepper and a few olives. Next the centre crunchy parts of 4-5 iceberg lettuce, finally some mayo and Italian dressing.
I would make 12 pounds
How much will you serve one person x how many people are expected = how much you should make. For instance, if you will give each person 1 cup of green salad and you are expecting 50 guests, the formula would be 1 x 50 = 50. You'll need 50 cups of salad.
For a side dish I'd say about 8
You will need approximately 6 pounds of chicken salad to make 50 mini Croissants. Each process will require approximately 2 ounces of chicken salad.

Loads.
50% more than it costs to make it.
A typical serving of pasta is 2 ounces of pasta and 1/4 cup of sauce. However, most Americans consume more than the standard size. I would double it to 4 ounces of pasta and 1/2 of sauce per serving. Therefore, I'd use 25 cups of sauce to feed 50 people, however, you may want to add another 5 cups just to be on the safe side.
Typically a serving is half a cup volume and weight 4 ounces. There are about 4 servings in a pound of potato salad, depending on density. That would mean 200 servings would be about 50 pounds. That seems to be on the high side.
The standard serving size is 1 cup (of salad) per person, meaning you'd need 75 cups of macaroni salad, which is about 2 ounces of uncooked macaroni per person. This means a 16 ounce package of macaroni can feed about 8 people, meaning you would need 9 boxes. Of course, this is based on if EVERY person ate it, and EVERY person ate 1 cup of the salad. But, keep in mind, if this is on a buffet (where people dip their own), some people will eat a lot more than 1 cup, some will eat a lot less than 1 cup, and others won't eat ANY--making it balance out.
That depends on what type of orange salad you are making. To determine the amount of food needed you also need to know the serving size.
It will depend some on how much other food will be there. But from my experience, I use 1 regular size box of plan noobles and 1 reg size box of green noodles and it will feed around 50, and that's with a lot of extra food. So you might need around 8 boxes.
