The absolute best way to purify water is to boil it for a period of time (suggested time is 15-20 minutes). The high temperatures will ensure that 99.9% harmful bacteria living in the water will die.

There are a great number of methods, the simpler is by evaporation. You put salt water into a first container that you connect with a second contained by a curved duct.

You heat the first container so to cause water evaporation. Since salt does not evaporate (in reality it evaporate in a very small quantity transported by water molecules) almost only water vapor is present in the duct. Near the second container you cool the duct so to condense the water vapor and causes an almost pure stream of water to reach the second container.

Another more sophisticated method is by ions electrical elimination. Since salt is present in form of Na+ and Cl- ions in water, if you put salt water in a container where an electrical field is resent you causes positive ions to deposit on the negative electrode and positive ions on the negative one. If you remove the deposited ions from the electrodes (for example by continuously renewing the electrodes cover) you remove ions from water up to obtain pure water.

A third, even more sophisticated methods, is to put heavy and charged particles into salt water. The particles deposit on the container floor and attracts all the ions (if the overall charge is sufficient). Also in this case, to avoid shielding, the neutralized particles have to be progressively renewed up to the moment when all ions are fixed. At this point water can be filterer to eliminate the big particles and obtain pure water.

By boiling it and collecting the condensed water droplets. Or... By passing it through a desalination plant.

What is the freezing point of sea water and pure water?

the sea water contains more salt. the pure water do not contain salt. the density of sea water is more than density of pure water. as there is more salt in sea water it is corrosive against the metals like aluminium. the pure water is not corrosive in nature. sea water is harmful for drinking. pure water is good for drinking.

Is sea water pure compound?

No.

Does sea water conduct electricity?

yes. because sea water is a mixture. it is not pure water.

How do you make sea water into pure water?

I would imagine that the sea water would have to run through a water purifier.

Does a coin sink faster in pure water than it does in sea water?

Yes, a coin does sink slightly faster in pure water than it does in sea water. The dissolved salts in sea water make the water denser, and as a result, objects immersed in sea water will experience greater buoyancy than they do in fresh water.

How Step by step how do you make pure water from sea water?

you can distill it

What are the benefits of converting salt water into pure water?

you can drink pure water and irrigate with it. if the only water available is the sea then you would have to convert it

Is sea water mixture or pure substance?

It is a mixture. A pure substance contains only one type of substance or one species of any substance or element. Sea water is a mixture of different salts dissolved in water. Thus, it is not a pure substance. Another point is that the different components of sea water can be observed separately.

What is sea water compound or a mixture?

It's a compound mixture because it's not pure water so isn't pure!

What test do you apply to sea water to become pure water?

simple distillation
