Use a small Styrofoam cooler with a lid.

A desk lamp with a 60 watt light bulb will provide heat.

A few holes in the lid will allow excess heat to vent and a small bowl of water will provide humidity. Turn the eggs daily. Use a thermometer and maintain heat at 100.5 F. If lamp overheats area, put more holes in top of lid.

The first home made incubator I made was a Styrofoam cooler purchased at a store.

I bought the largest I could find. I cut a piece of wire mesh just slightly larger than the dimensions of the inside bottom of the cooler so it fit about 1/4 inch off the bottom of the cooler. A cheap desk lamp (with a conical metal shade) on a bendable neck and a 100 watt bulb was next. I cut a whole in the back of the cooler just smaller than the shade and reverse fit it through the inside of the cooler. Take the lid and make six 1/4 holes at the center about 3 inched apart to release excess moisture and heat. Attach a thermometer to the inside wall of the incubator and place a small bowl of water in one corner for humidity. Place the eggs on the mesh bottom switch on the light. If the temperature goes over 100.5 F you must make more vent holes at the top until the light cannot keep the interior any hotter than 100.5F.
