Why is tearing a piece of tin foil a physical change?

Tearing an aluminum foil is a physical change. This will only alter the physical features of the foil and not have any effect on the chemical composition.

How did the gold foil experiment prove an atom was mostly empty space?

Only a small percentage of alpha particles shot at the gold foil were deflected proving that except for the nucleus, the atom was mostly empty space.

Will a magnet attract aluminium foil?

No, aluminum is a non ferrous. Only ferrous metals can be attracted to a magnet.

What is the advantage of using a concave mirror in the place of convex lens as objective in a telescope?

Using a concave mirror as the objective in a telescope offers several advantages over a convex lens. First, it eliminates chromatic aberration, which is the distortion of colors in an image caused by a lens. Second, it allows for a wider field of view. Lastly, it is easier to manufacture large mirrors compared to large lenses, making it more practical for telescopes with larger apertures.

If Rutherford made bombarded aluminum foil with alpha particles instead of gold foil what observations would he have used?

The scattering angles would have changed, but the qualitative results would also change: the reason Rutherford chose gold was because it is EXTREMELY malleable. One can stretch gold foil until it is only a few atoms thick in places, which is not possible with aluminum. If the foil were too thick, there would be no transmission of particles at all; the whole point was to demonstrate that most alpha particles passed through unchanged, but some of them scattered, which is only possible with a VERY thin foil.

Aluminum foil is not an element as the foil has a small amount of other stuff added to it to make it an alloy. Aluminum element would only have aluminum atoms and no other compounds added to it. An alloy has two or more metals together.

How do you change bread to toast with only one letter change?

If it is a doublet, where you change one letter at a time to make another word until you eventually reach toast, then the answer is: bread-->breaK-->bLeak-->bleaT-->bleSt-->blAst-->bOast-->Toast If it's not, then it could possibly be the the "change" of moving the "r" in bread to the end of toast, which would give you toastr. A toaster toasts bread, which would change bread into toast.
