If you are talking about the sims 2 for the computer, I can help. If you want to be a vampire, you don't have to be friends with one. Open up the cheat box (shift ctrl c at the same time) while you are playing the game and type in "boolprop testingcheatsenabled true" without the quotes. Then press shift and click on the sim you want to be a vampire (you have to be playing that sim for it to work) then click more until you see the option make vampire. Clcik on it and your sim will be a vampire! Hope this helped! :-)

If you want to make your sim a vampire, there are two ways. 1: Go downtown at night, or to a club if you have nightlife, and be friends with one of the vampires. Once you are friends with them, you can select the term "bite" and if both sims are in a happy mood, then the vampire will bite your sim. 2: Open up the cheat box (ctrl shift c) while in neighborhood mode, and type in BoolPropTestingcheatsenabled true and hit enter. Go to your house, hold shift, and click on a sim. A whole bunch of strange things will appear. Click More... until you find the option "make me vampire." Make sure your sim isn't doing anything, and click it. And if you decide you don't like your sim to be a vampire, keep clicking and you can choose an option of "cure vampirism" or buy a potion from the match maker.
