You can only print from your iPod if you have the AirPrint app and you are using an AirPrint-enabled printer. So far the only Air-Print enabled printers are made by HP.

An AirPrint printer is a wireless printer that works over your wifi network, and allows you to print wirelessly from your Mac, iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad.
Yes but it has to be jail-broken
Make sure your iPod is plugged in. When iTunes recognizes the iPod, go to the iPod menu. There should be a 'restore' button there.
Look in electronics stores in order to find a suitable printer with the correct specifications. You can then search for the product on other websites, in order to find a reasonable price.
no
What is the make and model of your printer? What is your operating system? Have you tried "Add Printer"? If add printer fails to find the drivers, and you don't have a disc, go on the maker's website and see the user guide or download the driver off the site.
It usually means the printer utility can't "find" the printer so it has paused the printing until it can see it. Either turn the printer on, hook the USB cable up or make sure you are on the same network node as the printer.
The best thing to do is to restore the iPod. To do this, connect your iPod to your computer, then in iTunes find your device on the sidebar, select it and find the restore button. Just make sure you don't let it sync again if you don't want all your content to go back on to the iPod.
You are able to use mp3 player speakers with your IPOD. You need to make sure they are universal, which most are. Some people find that IPOD speakers do produce better sound quality with your IPOD.
In the same way that you make a printer at home!
