First you create the page - in Word or Excel or PowerPoint (or using LibreOffice, the latest version of Open Office, which is free). You need to create something that you could print if you wanted to
Then you have to convert it into a PDF. On a Windows computer, there are lots of "PDF Printers" - programs that work like a printer but produce a PDF file rather than a printed page. I have found Cute PDF very good (and it is free). You download it and install it, then select it as your "printer" when you print
On a Mac, it is easier. There is a "PDF" button at the bottom-left of the Print Dialog box. You simply select "Save to PDF"
(But note: There is one Mac program that won't let you create a PDF in this way; that is Adobe Reader. Adobe have disabled the PDF button. There is a Mac program called CUPS-PDF that works like Cute PDF and will sometimes sometimes print the page - but not always. I haven't fully cracked this one yet)
Absolutely, Yes, you can make a PDF display its actual cover page (thumbnail/preview) instead of just a generic PDF icon, but it depends on what you mean by cover: Inside the PDF (first page as cover) When you open a PDF in Systweak PDF Editor (or any reader), the first page is normally the cover page. To set or change it, just make sure the page you want as cover is the first page in the document. You can rearrange pages in Systweak PDF Editor using the Organize Pages tool. Outside the PDF (icon preview in Explorer/Finder) In Windows File Explorer or Mac Finder, PDFs usually show an icon. If you want them to show the actual first page preview: Windows: Install a PDF handler (like Systweak PDF Editor, Adobe Acrobat) that enables thumbnail previews. Make sure in File Explorer → View → Options → Always show icons, never thumbnails is unchecked. Mac: Finder already shows PDF page previews by default. Embedding a custom cover (metadata/preview image) Some PDF tools let you embed a cover image (not just page one) in the metadata so apps (like e-readers or cloud drives) show it. In Systweak PDF Editor, you can replace page one with your custom-designed cover page, which effectively becomes the displayed cover everywhere.

To save a PDF as A2, you need to use a PDF editing tool or software that supports custom page sizes. Open the PDF in the tool, then select the option to change the page size or dimensions. Set the dimensions to A2 (420 x 594 mm or 16.5 x 23.4 inches) and save the file. Make sure to choose the appropriate file format if prompted.

Unless the PDF is <15 pages long, the JPEG will be smaller. If the PDF is really short (i.e. a 3-page restaurant menu), then the PDF will be smaller.

To add a sentence to a PDF page, you can use a PDF editing tool like Adobe Acrobat or a free alternative like PDF-XChange Editor. Open the PDF in the editor, select the "Text" or "Edit" option, click on the area where you want to add the sentence, and type your text. Finally, save the document to retain your changes.
