, First you buy two hermit crabs a male and female to check if its a female or a male wait until the hermit crab comes out its shell and flip it upside down and if it has two holes on it fifth pair legs then its a female if it doesn't its a male. Next, go to the dollar store or somewhere and buy a kitty pool. After that, go to a pet store and buy Calci-sand and put the sand in the kitty pool and layer it like a hill. Now put salt water in the kitty pool not too much just enough to make it look like a beach and make sure there's sand at the bottom of the kitty pool. your almost done now all you have to do is put your hermit crabs in there with a bunch of little shells so the baby hermit crabs can go in them when the turn to land hermit crabs. this process will take a bout 2 months oh and don't forget to get a heater, food and guard rails just in case. there are other ways but this is the cheapest way you'll find on how to do it.
Thanks
hermit crabs mate in waters so if they are in captivity no in the wild yes hermit crabs mate in waters so if they are in captivity no in the wild yes
yes
Yes, land hermit crabs do mate. If you mean in captivity...yes and no. They will mate and sometimes you will even get fertilized eggs, but you can not raise them to be surviving baby hermit crabs in captivity unless you can duplicate the ocean.
Hermit crabs in captivity cannot mate. Unless you live on a tropical island with wild hermit crabs, there's no need to worry. They were probably just playing.
i think they get jiggy with a mate and lay eggs.
they are probably mating right now bacause they mate all the time
It is very hard to breed hermit crabs but some people have however. You will need to have a salt water pool and many other things to suit their needs. You probably could but you want to make sure its free of bugs and parasites. Hermit crabs get parasites very easily
To change into a new shell or to mate. If not for these reasons, it is very sick
A lot
No, Hermit Crabs are omnivores.
