First we measure the test tube on the weight machine and note it . let the wieght be 'a' grams.

After that keep putting the salt in the tube until the weight of the test tube ,with salt in it, is = (a + 60) grams . If u accomplish this that means that the salt in the tube is exactly of 60 grams :) .

Use a balance. First find the mass of the test tube. Then spin the dial on your balance so you add 60 grams to the number that you got from weighing the test tube. The balance will go up because it has less mass than the balance counterweights. Add salt into the test tube until the balance stabilizes. Once it is stable, you will have exactly 60 grams of salt in the test tube. Remember that the end measurement is 60 grams of salt plus the mass of the test tube. If you have a test tube with salt in it and the balance measures 60 grams, then you forgot to account for the mass of the test tube.
