You'd take a ruler or measuring tape, run it from one edge of the Pizza to the other, through the centre, and read off the measurement in centimetres.
The diameter is measured using a tape measure.
wow, its pi, you know 3.14159 etc scientists are still finding numbers for pi.
The most best unit to measure the length of a slice of pizza are inches.
The metric system is easy to learn and remember as it is based on a count of 10 100 and 1000's etc. (10 mm's. in a centimetre, 1000 centimetre in a meter etc.) Compared to the metric system I can't think of any good points with the English system of measurement.
If you have a circular piece of property and someone wants to buy it, it would be helpful to know the area in order to set a fair price.- Pizza is offered in various sizes- such as 12", 14" etc at different prices. In order to decide which is the best deal you need to compute the area of each and compare the cost per square inch.
The diameter is measured using a tape measure.
millimeter
When advertised the measure of a pizza is its diameter. A 24 inch pizza therefore should have a diameter of 24 inches.
a plastic ruler or some string that can be measured once off the pizza
You measure it with the tape ruler thing or use pi (3.1415937) times the radius or the diameter. I forgot which one.
If it's a circular pizza, you would measure across the middle of the pizza, from a point on one side of the circle to a point exactly 180 degress on the the opposite "side" of the pizza.
The area of a pizza depends on the size of said pizza. If there is a certain pizza you would like to find the area of, all you need to do is: 1. measure the diameter of the pizza 2. split the diameter in half to get the radius 3. square the radius and multiply it by pi(3.14). For example, if I have a pizza with a diameter of 10 inches I would split that in half to get a radius of 5 inches. Then I would do this: (3.14) x 52. Which would end up being 78.5 in2. Tada, now you know how to get the formula of a pizza!
35 cm

depends on the size

If a SMALL pizza is 10 inches in DIAMETER, and the price of a small pizza is usually around $10, then that's what the common theory is of both diameter and price.
