There are several methods. Most use the time it takes, for a standard measured volume to pass through a small hole.

It takes the form of a viscosity cup, which holds the required amount and has the standard sized hole at the bottom.

Seal the hole with your finger, pour liquid in upto the mark, let go your finger at the same time as starting a stopwatch. Stop the watch when the stream first breaks.

Viscosity is measured in seconds (redwood scale)

Viscosity is the measure of how well liquids?

Viscosity is the measure of a fluids resistance to flow. The higher the viscosity the more viscous (the more resistance it has to flow); honey is generally much more viscous than water.

What mainly determines the viscosity of a magma?

Viscosity is the measure of a liquids resistance to flow. In the case of magma, the hotter it is, the lower the viscosity.

Are boiling points for different liquids different?

yes, it depends on the viscosity of the liquid

How do liquids with a high viscosity differ from a liquids with a low viscosity?

Because liquids with a high viscosity flow slowly as to where a liquid with a low viscosity flow quickly

Why do various kinds of liquids not flow at the same rate?

different viscosity

Which is the scientific name of how well liquids can flow?

viscosity is the measure of resistance in a fluid, so basically how fast it can flow. Honey has a higher viscosity then water.

Does the density of a liquid affect the liquids of viscosity?

denser liquids tend to have more viscosity

How do liquid with a high viscosity differ from liquid with low viscosity?

The liquids with high viscosity flow slowly and liquids with low viscosity flow quickly.

How do liquid with a high viscosity differ from liquid with a low viscosity?

The liquids with high viscosity flow slowly and liquids with low viscosity flow quickly.

How do liquids with high viscosity differ from liquids with a low viscosity?

Viscosity is a property of liquids, showing that liquid's resistance to flow. A liquid with a high viscosity would mean it flowed slowly. A liquid with a low viscosity would mean it flows rather quickly.

How do liquids with a high viscosity differ from a liquid with a low viscosity?

Because liquids with a high viscosity flow slowly as to where a liquid with a low viscosity flow quickly
