If it's compatible just take one off and put the other in it's place.
NO! Honda!

Type your answer here... It backfires because it is a Briggs and Stratton - replace it with a Honda or Kholer.
Originally from when Briggs & Stratton started business in 1919, the engine's were built in Milwaukee Wisconsin to 1985 and well into the 1990's. Recently great production is very little from were Briggs & Stratton was originally started. These day's there is great activity of Briggs & Stratton parts from China/Japan and Briggs & Stratton engine blocks being casted in Mexico. Truley a great devistation to a once GREAT engine. Which is why alot of people like myself will no longer recommend a Briggs & Stratton engine. Today your best bet is Kohler (still U.S. produced), Kawasaki or Honda.
Honda, Yamaha, Craftsman, Troy-Bilt, and Briggs & Stratton are some of the top brands for residential backup generators. Both Honda and Briggs & Stratton scored well with Consumer Reports.

yes if both are honda motors briggs and stratons have a different sort of mount if they are both briggs and stratton you are fine too
Depends on what type of engine it has. If it is a Briggs and Stratton or Tecumseh, then use 30 weight oil. If its honda, use 10w30
It depends on how old this particular mower is, and how large it is! Older and larger ones used to have Tecumseh motors, but tecumseh went out of business. Older and Newer smaller Troy Bilt's have had Briggs & Stratton, for some time, but depending on the durability model and how new it is; It may have a Honda motor.
