I have Mountain bike with a suspension fork I use offroad and I am going to buy mud fenders for it should I buy a front fender or a downtube fender along with a rear fender?
A front fender will catch more crud than a downtube fender, but downtube fenders are easier to mount.

Depends on the model, Softail is on the rear fender under the seat. Sportster is on the back side of the ignition module Dressers are in a slot at the back of hte battery box.
