To mount a stretched rear fender on a Softail, first, remove the stock fender and any associated components like the tail light and wiring. Align the new stretched fender to the frame, ensuring it fits properly and is centered. Use the provided mounting brackets or hardware to secure the fender in place, and double-check for clearance with the wheel and tire. Finally, reconnect any electrical components and ensure everything is tight and secure before taking the bike for a test ride.
A front fender will catch more crud than a downtube fender, but downtube fenders are easier to mount.
