Try strumming up at down, and enter practice mode to figure out the speed needed to hit all of the notes.

I would assume (because there are so little notes to hit on Guitar Hero) that real guitar would be much harder.
The Guitar Hero guitar as a whammy bar. When you are holding long notes during a song, you can move the whammy bar up and down to "whammy."

Guitar Master is similar to Guitar Hero in that there are different difficulty settings, multiple track selections to choose from, and scrolling notes that you have to play, some for an extended length of time.
