You can only migrate from Game boy to DS. You first insert the game boy Pokemon chip into the bottom DS slot and then open the DS Pokemon. After you open it you co to the menu screen and scroll down. Then you will see this "migrate" button. Click it and you can migrate from the game boy to the DS chip.
If you hack it by cracking it open and open a n64 system swith around some parts and then crack any n64 game and a ds game and switch the memory thing with the ds one and voiala you got youreself a potable N64 i did it with my PSP
The only way to recover your DS game after you dropped it and it doesn't work is to open the game and see what is wrong inside of the game. If you can not fix it yourself or know of someone that has DS repair knowledge, you may have to replace it with a new one.
dude you take out the cover at the bottom if it's a ds lite if not it should just be open put the game in that opening that's it
