If you are referring to car doors, it depends on the amount of damage to the door. Some need to be cut off with a cutting torch and some can be pried open with a pry bar.
If you are referring to a house door, tap the pins out of the hinge with a hammer and screw driver and remove the door.
take seats out so that you can gain access to the door panel. remove it and unlock. or remove fuse. not sure if it has one though.
The hinge pins and bushings are probably worn, unless it has been damaged due to an accident.
put door key in passenger door turn it to the left and hold it this should de-activate the theft system
The park was re-opened after the accident for a month and then shut down due to foreclosure. It was sold at a sheriffs auction after the accident and the new owner has done nothing with it since.
There is an overcentering spring in the door lock mechanism. It causes the lock tab to stay up, or stay down wherever you last put it (or used the remote). This spring breaks quite commonly & the door unlocks, but then as you try to open it from outside, it comes off the first latch, but then the lock button moves down a bit (due to the fact that the broken spring won't hold it in place) & the door is again locked & the door wont release. You have to hold the button Up & open the door at the same time. You can find replecement springs on eBay, 4 for $28AU. Sesarch Discovery Parts & you should find some. Tony
myselft accident
ok It sounds like your inside handle is disconnected or broken . Is it a rear door? on my 96 i needed to replace the handle inside there is a little plastic nub that's known to wear out / break i still have one rear door that wont open from the inside .you need to remove the door panel and inspect to see if the rod is connected and if it is its probably your handle assembly and you can get one at the dealer, the junk yard may not have a good one due to its as old as yours its probably in the same shape if its the rear door the child proof lock has been set its located by the lack on the door jam the door has to be open to get to it
Yes, the party opening the door has a duty to do so only when safe, regardless of the wind, the door (if it were windy) should not have been left unattended.
Door releases follow several mechanical lines within the actual door. The most common reason that a door will not open on any vehicle is due to a break in the mechanical lines that operate the door.
If the door won't open from the inside, then maybe it's due to the child safety locks. If it won't open from the outside, then maybe it's locked, or the door handle mechanism has broken, as it has on my 1998 Civic. From the inside, you might be able to remove the screw holding the handle and slide the handle set forward to remove it from the door.
simply call AA/AAA - i had the same issue where my key wouldn't work due to the battery being dead they used an air cushion to wedge the door open slightly and used a hook to reach the latch to open the door
Keyhole of the drivers door is probably damaged due to wear and frequent use. You might switch it with passenger's door, as driver's door will open it anyawy, or you have to exchange all the keys.
