You must save the template somewhere on your computer that you will remember. After opening GIMP, go to "File" then "Open" and then find the file on your computer and then double click it.

Gimp is completely free, it is even more: gimp is open source.
Save the template to your computer, and then open it using any image editing program on your computer. You can use Microsoft paint or another image editing program you bought, or you can download a free program off the Internet. I would recommend using Gimp or Paint.net.
Yes gimp is an open source program. The gimp makers give it away for free themselves. thegimpking.blogger.com
Complete the following steps:Launch the GIMP programFile> Open> and select the picture you would like to editSelect the Open button
Right-click on Gimp in your Applications folder and select "Open With". This will open a window of all your applications and you'll select X11. X11 is under Utilities. I'm not sure how you managed to make Gimp open with Photobooth, but kudos to you haha.

No GIMP is totally free and is open source. Download here: gimp.org Tutorials here: thegimpking.blogspot.com
First design what layout you want for your template. Then do a SAVE AS and pick a template rather than a normal workbook.
Gimp can open a .PSD file directly, and save it out as it's native format - the .XCF
Do you have GIMP, PhotoShop or something like that? If you don't, go and download GIMP now. It's probably the best program for changing the look in StarShine. Then you can open GIMP, and choose to open a file. Then you go into the Data-map again and there will be a lot of pictures. Just click on one of them, and change it anyway you like.
Yes, as long as you have a DDS plugin installed, such as can be found here: http://code.google.com/p/gimp-dds/
