This worked easily for me after three hours of working[to no avail] on two watches after battery replacement. Check for burrs[caused by removing the back] on the rim of the watch base. There was a burr[metal tag]on one rim which I carefully removed with a small screw driver, which I had used to take the back of. Put a thin film of grease[very thin] on the rim of the base. The watch base was face down on a piece of cloth on a hard surface[a table]. I placed the back on the watch base, lining up a small incision in the rim with the winding mechanism, and pressed it in[doesn't snap in]. I used a socket, from a socket-set,which was just smaller than the diameter of the watch back, and joined it into the short socket-set extension. Making sure the incision was lined up with the winding mechanism,I placed the socket, with the attached extension, evenly over the watch back, and pressed down on the back, using the short extension as a handle to easily apply pressure[not a lot]. I applied greater pressure where the back was not 'in'. It went in very sweetly and easily both times. Some have a back which have a thread so they screw on.
I have the same question. My Thunderbird watch has six notches on the back cover. I looks like you need a special tool to open the back. I suspect it is a threaded back cover and that you would turn it with the tool to open.
you just push and it should snap right in. that, or it might have a little button that you have to push
you put it on
To put the battery lid back onto a bulova watch, simply place the lid into the crease above the newly replaced battery. From there, screw the lid securely down onto the watch.
To change the watch crown, the back of the watch must be taken off. The inner workings of the watch are then removed, and the old crown taken out. The process is reversed to put the watch back together. Some of the fancier watches have a crown that can be unscrewed from the outside.
when you arrive there you put your watch forward 2 hours and when you land back home you put your watch back 2 hours so the flight going there will be 2 hours longer than you think until you change your watch if that makes sense its very confusing.
There is a pillow in the middle that will be snug in the winder so that the watch will not fall out. Remove the pillow and place the watch around the pillow. The pillow will fit snug back into the watch winder with your watch on it while the watch is wound.
You want to put on weight!? But all you have to do is eat yummy food and sit back and watch tv all day
how to get back cover back onthe watch
There are different ways to remove fog from your watch. You use a blow dryer on low heat to blow warm air into the watch or just open the back of the watch and put it under direct sunlight to about two hours.
Pop off the back of the pocket watch. I use a sewing pin to achieve this. You will see a circular plastic part with a different shape in the middle that is on top of the battery and keeps the watch face in place. Mine is colored white. Pop that off from the bottom. From there press up underneath the battery. There should be a little groove underneath where the battery is. After that inspect the battery that was already in there. For example: Mine was a V377+ Varta Germany. I bought a Energizer V377 and put it in. It works like a charm. Put the plastic part back on top of the battery. Then pull up on the top of the pocket watch, moving the spinning part of the watch. Carefully put the back of the watch back on, as jiggling it a little will change the time you've so specifically changed. After the back is on, then push down on the top of the pocket watch. This will start the second counter again. Tada. You have changed the battery of a ciprini pocket watch.
He wore a watch. He stood watch.

The easiest way to put a battery back into a pocket watch is to take the watch to one of the mall stores where they provide watch batteries. Purchase the battery from them and have them install. Many times they offer warranties or refunds if something happens. Usually it will cost between $7-$10. And they do it as you stand there, so if you don't feel OK with paying that everytime you need it switched ask if they will show you how to change the battery and the next time, you can do it yourself.
