I catch all the electric type Pokemon that I can find on the ship. I find their Poke Assist really helpful. But if you do this, do NOT use them all at once. Try to capture it as much as you can. When you're almost done, with about 75% left to fill in the friendship gauge, he'll start getting harder. then I'd start using poke assists. the gauge goes down quickly. Hope this helps!
