One way is to buy the game at a store. You need regular World of Warcraft to play, but you can buy extensions in addition to that. Then put the disc into your computer and load it. When you are finished and the play screen comes up, go to your battle.net account at worldofwarcraft.com. Click Account management in the menu at the left. It should say upgrade or type in a CD Key. Click that one and type in the all caps code that is on your disc slip. Now you are ready!

∙ 13y agoThe monthly subscription can be paid for via several methods including credit card, game time cards, and charged to your phone-bill. To choose a method different than the one you signed up with, you will need to go to the account management page at the Battlenet site (see related links).

∙ 13y agoFor Game Cards, you simply buy a game time card and log on to your battle.net account. Under the payment options is the option to fill in the code (under the silvery scratchable layer on the card) and get the listed amount of time added to your account.
With credit cards and direct debit, you will be required to fill in some information regarding the card, card holder and security code. You will also have to select a payment plan (Monthly, 2x/year or yearly), which alters the cost of the subscription.
Once you select a payment plan, the first time your game time would run out your are charged for that amount, and it will recurr every time period you selected (so monthly, 2x/year or yearly).
