Llamas, like most animals, will consider it a threat if you stare them directly in the eye. Since they tend to spit when they feel an aggressor is threatening them, approach them without direct eye contact.
Be sure to talk to the owner or handler to make sure it is safe to reach out to them and touch them before doing so. If they are on a halter with someone holding the lead, approach from the side after alerting the handler to your intentions. They can strike with their feet, so be conscious of their feet, legs and mouth at all times.
If they are in a pen and you have asked if they can be petted, still approach from the side as much as you are able to and avoid direct eye contact. Stay off to the side and aware of their mouths, so if they spit, you won't get it directly in your face, although they have pretty deadly aim.
Approach slowly and from the side instead of head on. Talk softly to them as you approach and gradually and slowly reach towards them, but do not reach for their heads first. Stroke them gently on the neck and shoulder. If they seem agitated and stomp their feet or start to spit, back off. If it seems like they are enjoying it, just continue to move slowly and gently.

Llama in Japanese is ra ma. (or at least that is how it is pronounced.)
The binomial nomenclature of a llama is Lama glama.
Scientific name of llama is "lama". (just one L) So the full name is "lama glama"! Also makes a fun name to call your llama by!
Maybe a llama of the opposite gender? Why do you have a llama, no offence. Don't they get lonely?
feed it and pet it.

That's a tough question to answer. Right now it isn't. It could be next month. Currently, the featured caring valley pet is the lion.
You have to check the tag and if it is red and says caring valley pet then it is one. If it has a normal webkinz tag then it's not a caring valley pet.
