A 12 year old should get freedom, but there should be limits to it. It is horrible if you don't get freedom at that age, (by experience) and you should but give it gradually. They should be allowed to: -Go to a near by estate agent, or shops. -Roam around their village/road, but not further. -Go to the mall, with a couple of friends and you on the site. -Go to see of movie with their friends. You drop them off, and pick them up after the movie ends. -Determine their own bedtime, but not something ridicolous, before 10.30. -Definitely allowed to do sleepovers. -Have their own mobile phone.
