The very first step in planning a perfect outfit is to determine where you will be wearing it. For example, a perfect outfit for a family picnic would not be the perfect outfit for a formal dinner at the White House. The next step is to try and determine the people who you will be mingling with at wherever you are going. A younger crown will usually be more casual than a crowd of old ladies with long skirts and beaded evening bags. Only then can you get down to the business of actually planning your clothing which is not too difficult.
The safest way to have a good/perfect outfit is to color coordinate. For example, a light blue shirt/sweater with a navy blazer and skirt/pants would be great for business or travel. (neckline accessorized depending if you are a man or woman) You have to play around with the various pieces in you wardrobe to find the combination that you prefer, but if you stay in a particular color family, you should have no problem in "throwing together" the perfect outfit for any occasion.
