After saving the map, run Starcraft. If you wish to play on multiplayer, click create, and then beside the map selection, there will be a button called "Browse". Click that, and find your map from there. If you play signleplayer, you double click on "up one level", and then the map should be in the downloads file.
(Note - this is for Starcraft 1.16.1 Brood War. Other versions may have different ways of finding the map)
Make sure they are saved to a Starcraft folder and not to one of your own. Also make sure you put a starting location for all teams and have met all requirements to save the game.

If by "halo 3 maps" you mean the Halo 3 Heroic, Legendary, Mythic and Cold Storage maps, then yes. However to play campaign levels, you must actually advance in the game to get to them.
You Can only download map off multiplayer (multiplayer servers were switched off in 2006) not off the internet it wont work. So basically you cant download SC1 maps.
No problemo. Depending on where you saved it, it will be in a different place in the ladder. I like to save it to Starcraft Origional's first map menu. (When you hit the 'save map' button, a window will pop up where you choose where to save it). It will go to Starcraft Origional's first map menu as a default. Save it to wherever in Starcraft, then exit out of everything and start up Starcraft. REMEMBER: You must not have Starcraft running or it will not save. Go to 'Single Player', then log in, then click 'Custom Maps'. Then find the folder you remember it was saved in and scroll all the way down and you will find it at the very bottom.
