On a Ukulele with a GCEA tuning, the A minor chord is formed with the pointer finger on the second fret, fourth string.

The best I've found is the link below that provides a chord chart:

You would normally play, say, an E chord with your first, second and third fingers. Make the E chord with your second, third and fourth fingers, and place your index finger across the fretboard above them. That chord can be moved up or down as necessary.

The same way you play chords on any stringed instrument. You hold the strings down against the frets with your fingers. The pattern you use will depend on the tuning of the instrument. You can find chord charts in almost every ukulele music book or web site that show the specific fingering for specific chords.
