Stores have already took the first version from their shelves because of the Hot Coffee mod, so Rockstar games has included a 2nd version that cannot be modded. If you do try to mod the 2nd version, the game will crash, but there is a mod where you can downgrade it to the 1st version without the game crashing. Still, check if you have the 1st version, then you can play it without modding, but I've got to warn you, a little less than 10,000,000 people out of 30,000,000 people have te 1st version.
