It is very difficult to play an instrument and sing at the same time when you have just begun the instrument. I have been playing for quite some time now and still cant get the hang of singing some songs. I think you should take a year of lessons then try and sing, I was in the same position as you when I was 13. Actually i am 13 have only been playing for half a year and already sing and play on some of our covers, you just have to develop a feel for the instrument and use it to voice yourself rather than to play set notes You have to be able to play bass at the same time, which is waay more difficult than you'd expect, it also depends on how musical you are. its quite fun to try though. It depends mainly on your talent and experience. If your Voice is in the bass clef then it should be easy
