Playing the English horn needs practice. In order to start, first make sure the instrument is properly assembled. Soak the reed of the horn in saliva or water then place the reed over your lower lip. Roll your lips over your teeth and make an emboucher and then make different tones by changing your lips tension as you blow for different notes. Breathe deeply as you blow in the horn for better sounds.
