Unfortunately, there has not been any confirmation upon the topic of there being a sequel for the PS2 game, War of the Monsters, which came out far back in 2002 / 2003. However, the company that developed the game, Incognito (now called Eat Sleep Play!), the masterminds behind the Twisted Metal and God of War franchaise, are currently working upon a new Twisted Metal game which is comming for the PS3. If you have seen some of the trailers for Twisted Metal PS3, you may notice how the new looks of the demonic transforming ice-cream van when in it's robot mode, it looks like a revamped version of Agamo's 4th costume, which is most probably a reference to War of the Monsters, despite the game came out many years back. However, if Twisted Metal PS3 gets enough positive feedback, Eat Sleep Play may possibly create a sequel to War of the Monsters, or maybe even a HD remake of the original. I hope you have found this helpful.
During World War II metal was rationed. The government had to approve the use of metal in manufacturing as it was needed for the war effort. Many toy companies were forced to make wooden toys where before the war they would have made them from metal.
