Activate your 2 day pass, then from the Halo 4 main menu press "X" and then either invite or join a friend by selecting them, and then, once they're in your Halo 4 lobby, choose either war games, or campaign. They will be with you (you can also do 2 player forge. And 2 players isn't the max for war games/forge, and you can do split screen without Xbox Live. Just have someone turn on their controller, and if their account doesn't have Live, just have them use "Guest").
