There are many ways to play with a kitten. Each kitten has its own preference as to what kind of toy he or she likes. An inexpensive toy that kittens love is a wadded up piece of paper. Throw it down the stairs or slide it along a slippery floor and your cat will most likely love it. Feathers at the end of a stick or a string are also fun toys for cats. Cats like to chase toys that you throw for them. They also love jumping for toys attached to strings. To entertain your kitten without having to get involved, set out a paper bag or a cardboard box for him/her. In my experience, kittens will entertain themselves for a long time with paper bags and cardboard boxes. The best toys are often the cheapest ones.
